Unfortunately, a formal education is often overpriced.

I browsed Udemy today, a website that sells professionally designed courses, and I realized that these courses are essentially the same type of lectures that I am currently taking at Villanova.

But I understand that I am not just paying for knowledge, I am paying for certification.

Right now, that’s what people value. People value status.

Ambition.

Titles.

Certification.

I don’t like it because I believe in meritocracy, but I need to understand the system before I can change it.
